Research should be a conversation

We built Maren because we believe the best insights come from real conversations — and that every team should have access to them.

Why Maren exists

Every product team knows they should talk to their users more. Most don’t. Not because they don’t care, but because interviews are genuinely hard to do well — scheduling is painful, good moderation takes practice, and analyzing dozens of conversations is a full-time job.

So teams compromise. They send surveys that nobody fills in honestly. They rely on analytics that show what happened but never why. They talk to three users and extrapolate. The result is products shaped by guesswork instead of understanding.

Maren changes the equation. She’s an AI researcher who can conduct thoughtful, adaptive research interviews with hundreds of participants simultaneously. She asks follow-up questions, probes deeper when something interesting surfaces, and synthesizes everything into actionable insights.

The name comes from a place that matters to us. Maren is built to be the kind of researcher you’d want on your team — thorough, curious, empathetic, and tireless.

What we believe

Research rigor matters

Maren isn’t a chatbot with a questionnaire. She’s built on proven qualitative research methodology — interview styles designed by researchers, adaptive conversation flows, and synthesis that surfaces what matters.

Participants deserve respect

The interview experience matters as much as the insights. Maren is designed to feel like a thoughtful conversation, not a form to endure. No accounts, no apps, just a link and a real dialogue.

Simplicity is a feature

You shouldn’t need a week of onboarding to run your first study. Maren gets out of the way — set up in five minutes, share a link, get insights.

Your data is yours

Full transparency, full ownership. Every transcript, summary, and insight is downloadable anytime. We never use your research data for training or any other purpose.
